Let's talk home loans!
I have lived a life full of adventures and experiences. From before I can remember I wanted to be a Firefighter. I started volunteering as a senior in high school and went to college to get my bachelors in fire science. Then I got sidetracked when I was offered a job to work as a white-water river guide in Denali National Park in Alaska. That was only supposed to be for a couple of years. I went there knowing nothing about whitewater rafting expect I was a bit scared of it. I went from the rookie to being head guide for the best and most experienced company in Denali. I was blessed with the opportunity to help with the filming of the movie “into the Wild” and spent weeks scouting for the filming locations and working directly with the director. I also work as a team leader for Denali national part SAR team (search and rescue) Due to my experience in swift water rescue. While working my summers in AK I would spend the winters in southern California, Baja Mexico and a little time in central America. All said and done I worked in Denali for 13 summers. Denali is where I met my amazing wife. Of course, we didn’t know that at the time. In 2005 I moved to North Idaho and started working as a carpenter while volunteering with KCFR Kootenai County Fire & Rescue. My plan was to get on as fulltime Firefighter/EMT. I took every class the department offered me and slowly gained the trust and respect of the AMAZING men and women that make up that department. I spent about 6-7 years as a volunteer. Then my past actions of NOT taking care of my body caught up to me. Repeated back injuries and broken bones made me realize maybe I couldn’t to what I loved so much. I had to make a very hard decision and resign from my position at the FD. It was a very low point in my life. But my amazing wife helped me realize maybe it's for the best. Because surprise we have a baby on the way.
I found Willamette Valley Bank through a good friend and then met the amazing team here at CDA WVBK. I have now been in lending with WVBK for almost 5 years and I LOVE THIS BANK AND TEAM. I am dedicated to helping as many people become homeowners. I am hyper focused on helping those who have sacrificed so much for us. Veterans, First Responders and teachers.
